What can SPIP be used for?

SPIP is particularly suitable for websites and portals with regular community contributions, but it can also be used for a blog, a wiki, or a social network. More generally, SPIP can manage the storage and presentation of any data stored in MySQL, Postgres or SQLite databases.
It also provides easy access to data stored in XML, JSON, CSV and YAML formats and more generally, any information which is stored in PHP tables.
